Job Overview

UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology-Oncology Physician to join our dynamic team. The position involves 2 weeks of telemedicine services and 2 weeks of onsite services, including one week of on-call duties. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care remotely, utilizing advanced telemedicine technology for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct virtual consultations and follow-up appointments for patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses.
2. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
3. Review lab results, imaging, and other diagnostic tests to guide clinical decision-making.
4. Provide second opinions and expert recommendations for referring physicians.
5. Participate in tumor board meetings and multidisciplinary discussions as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with telemedicine best practices, hospital protocols, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

1. Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology (required).
