Job Summary
Physicians in the Division of Hematology-Oncology diagnose illnesses related to the blood as well as malignant neoplastic processes, prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury and/or disease, with expertise in chemotherapy and oncolytic treatments. They examine patients, obtain medical histories, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They perform procedures related to the specialty such as bone marrow biopsies and intrathecal chemotherapy administration. All services are documented in the patient medical record. Physicians serve as faculty members of the University of Colorado, School of Medicine.
