Job summary

Bon Secours Cancer Institute at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia, seeks a BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologist to join a growing, patient-centered oncology program serving the Greater Richmond region.

The incoming physician will join an experienced group with access to an established patient panel, strong referrals, and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver high-quality cancer care close to home.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• Eligible for Virginia medical licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Experienced physicians preferred; candidates completing training are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory testing.
• Develop and manage treatment plans and therapies.
• Coordinate care with referring physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in inpatient consultations and rounding activities.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Participate in on-call coverage and program development initiatives.
