Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist required.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to Veterans care and patient-centered oncology services.
• No RVU-based production requirements are expected for this role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat hematologic and oncologic diseases.
• Manage chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens.
• Oversee survivorship and supportive care for veterans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborative care.
• Collaborate with surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, palliative care, and primary care teams.
• Educate patients and involve them in shared decision-making.
• Engage with the Durham VA Cancer Program and academic collaborations.
