Job summary
Spokane VA Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible) Oncologist/Hematologist to deliver comprehensive cancer care to Veterans. The role includes inpatient and outpatient duties, teaching opportunities with UW and WA State School of Medicine, and a collaborative team environment. Candidates should hold an unrestricted U.S.
medical license and be a U.S. citizen. J-1 sponsorship is available.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Oncology/Hematology preferred; Board Eligible candidates welcome.
- Unrestricted U.S. medical license required.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday.
- U.S. citizenship required; J-1 Visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Oncology and Hematology care, including patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for both inpatient and outpatient consults.
- Develop and coordinate evidence-based clinical care plans, fostering shared decision-making with Veterans.
- Collaborate with other specialists to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Teach medical students and residents through affiliations with the University of Washington and the Washington State School of Medicine (academic appointment possible).
