Job summary

Jackson Physician Search is assisting UNC Health in recruiting an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an accredited Comprehensive Cancer Center in North Carolina.

This outpatient, 4-day in-clinic schedule with one admin day offers strong physician collaboration, no call, and a path to loan forgiveness through PSLF.

The role includes mixed hematology/oncology duties, infusions, and participation in tumor boards with dedicated support staff.

Qualifications

• Oncology or hematology experience strongly preferred.
• Experienced APPs from other clinical medicine specialties encouraged to apply.
• Oncology nursing experience also highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Occasional consults with physicians and attendance at tumor boards.
• Care for patients in a team-based oncology setting.
• Act as part of outpatient oncology/hematology care team.

• Reasonable volume seeing approximately 14 patients per day, a mix of new patients, follow-ups and infusions - balanced between hematology and oncology

• Epic EMR, comprehensive cancer center, 3DCRT, 15 Infusion chairs, excellent support staff and care coordination

Candidate Qualifications
