Job summary

Atrium Health's Levine Cancer Institute in Forest City, NC seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support outpatient hematology/oncology and infusion services. You will collaborate with two physicians and two APPs to deliver high-quality, team-based cancer care.

The role covers survivorship, routine and acute visits, toxicity management, chemotherapy teaching, and infusion coverage. Schedule options are 4x10s or 5x8s, with sign-on, relocation, and retention bonuses available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hematology/oncology APP experience.
• Proven communication skills (written and verbal).
• Willingness to collaborate with clinical team and adhere to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient and infusion coverage for hematology/oncology patients.
• Manage survivorship, acute and routine visits, toxicity visits and chemo teaching.
• Clinic operates Mon–Fri; 4x10h or 5x8h shifts with 2 physicians and 2 APPs.
• Train and participate in bone marrow biopsy/chemo certifications as needed.

Position Details:

• Outpatient and infusion coverage


• Survivorship, acute and routine visits, toxicity visits, chemotherapy teaches, benign hematology management, and infusion coverage


• Clinic is open Monday – Friday; Schedule consists of 4 days/10-hour shift or 5 days/8 hour shifts


• 2 Physicians, 2 APP


• Opportunity for chemo certification and bone marrow biopsy training

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) primarily practices in an outpatient setting, managing both solid tumor oncology and hematology patients. The candidate consistently exhibits sound critical thinking abilities and strong interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Qualified applicants must be proficient in conducting comprehensive histories and physical assessments.
