Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America is seeking a high-performing Production Associate to support efficient, safe and reliable manufacturing operations. You will multitask across packaging, line feeding and process checks, resolving issues quickly and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, excellent attendance and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
  • Minimum of two years of industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent attendance history and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Shift Supervisor and teams about packaging supplies and line issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and process teams to address equipment issues.
  • Participate in safety meetings and promote safety awareness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product quality, processes and sustainability.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and employee engagement.

About the Role

Responsibilities
Operational Communication
  • Regularly communicate with the Shift Supervisor, especially when packaging supplies need replenishing.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor, Process Tech, and Maintenance teams to address equipment issues.
  • Communicate with the Shift Supervisor regarding quality, line issues, and packing materials needed.
Safety and Compliance
  • Stay informed on plant and safety matters by actively participating in department and plant safety meetings.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and promoting safety awareness.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in efforts to improve product quality, environmental sustainability, and health & safety standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with the team to implement solutions.
Employee Engagement and Culture
  • Drive high levels of employee retention and engagement to build a sustainable and motivated workforce.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance—an essential qualification due to the unique nature of the operation.
Additional Requirements
  • Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
