Job summary

PLATINUM PLUMBING & CONSTRUCTION LTD. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Helper, plumber to support skilled trades on site. This on-site role requires physical work and the ability to follow blueprints and instructions.

Responsibilities include loading and transporting materials, performing pre-operational inspections, reading blueprints, erecting forms and scaffolding, and assisting with concrete and asphalt tasks. Morning, day, evening, weekend shifts available; starts as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation completed.
• Experience range indicated: 1 to less than 7 months.
• English language required.

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Perform pre-operational inspection.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Pave and rake asphalt.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Perform routine maintenance work.
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
