Primary Purpose

Assist higher grade personnel with repair, maintenance, testing, reconnecting, disconnecting, installation, and removal of metering devices. Support meter retirement processes, reading cut-off meters, and recording data in the ADM system. Help prepare logs, test documents, timesheets, and other required paperwork. Assist in material handling and coordination with departments, vendors, and customers.

Primary Duties
  • Assist with repair, maintenance, testing, reconnecting, disconnecting, installation, and removal of metering devices.
  • Load and unload meters on racks associated with meter testing.
  • Support meter retirement processes.
  • Operate tow motors, pallet jacks, or similar devices.
  • Read meters, record meter numbers and readings in the ADM system.
  • Use computer hardware and software to record data and activities under supervision.
  • Prepare and complete logs, test documents, timesheets, and other paperwork.
  • Handle materials and communicate with departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Assist customers and colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain equipment stock in vehicles and facilities.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Use company radios (mobile and portable).
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on vehicles during refueling.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of metering equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of mathematical formulas for meter accuracy.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and first-aid methods.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Completion of company safety requirements.
  • Ability to use and maintain personal protective equipment per Pepco safety manual.
