Responsibilities

• Learns to read menu to estimate food requirements and orders food from suppliers or storage.
• Prepares and cooks food in accordance with recipes and production records.
• Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate oven/roaster temperatures.
• Measures and mixes ingredients using various utensils and equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, broils and steams meats, fish, vegetables and other foods.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the kitchen and interacts with customers and coworkers.
