Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a thorough Helper C to join the Patrick Sullivan Apartments team in Chicago, IL. This union role involves cleaning residences and common areas at a 479-unit senior housing RAD property, with benefits provided by the union.

Pay is $22.82 per hour with schedules Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or Tuesday–Saturday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Must be able to understand English and maintain cleaning supplies as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand spoken and written English.
• Timely and respectful communication with residents and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Clean entire building including bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators and carpets; empty trash cans; sweep sidewalks; set up hoses; rake lawns and plant flowers; install mulch.
• Perform cleaning per the property's daily schedule.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and driveways as needed.
• Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

About the opportunity

WinnCompanies is looking for a thorough and dedicatedHelper C to join our team atPatrick Sullivan Apartments, a 479-unit senior housing and RADpropertylocated inChicago, IL.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning functions in homes and common areas. Please note that this is a union position and will eligible for benefits provided by the union.

The pay for this role is $22.82 per hour. This opportunity offers the following work schedules: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM and Tuesday-Saturday from 7:00AM-4:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the following, but not limited to: cleaning entire building including, bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets; emptying trash cans; sweeping sidewalks; setting up hoses, raking lawns and flower beds, planting flowers, and installing mulch.
• Perform each cleaning function in accordance with the property’s prescribed daily schedule.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, driveways as needed.
• Perform other cleaning functions as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English.
• Ability to respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
• Ability to carry and maintain all cleaning supplies necessary for routine functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior cleaning experience.
