Job description

Perform unskilled work as directed by the foreman or leaderman. Work will include all types of loading and unloading cars and trucks, stacking material, excavating, filling in, moving simple types and sizes of machinery, rough paint work such as marking material for identifications, general clean-up work such as sweeping, mopping, washing windows and the tearing down and dismantling of various types of buildings using various machines and tools.

Essential Functions:

The individual assigned to this position must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to perform the following Essential Functions:

• Enter and work in internally confined spaces.
• Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position of Laborer/Helper.
• Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
• Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between dock and vessels.
• Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.
• Ascend and work at heights.
• Stooping, squatting, twisting, and kneeling.
