Responsibilities

• Assist in installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans and blueprints.
• Operate hoists, lift trucks, and power tools for machinery setup.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using various hand tools.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, tools, rules and measuring devices.
• Bolt, weld or fasten machines to foundations or structures.
• Occasionally operate lathe to finish parts.
• Repair and lubricate machinery as needed.
• Participate in installation and maintenance as part of a skilled trades team.

Responsibilities

• A helper will be responsible for assisting in installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in an industrial establishment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.
• At times, employee will be required to assist other facets of our business.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and truck
• Assembles and installs equipment using hand tools and power tools
• Constructs foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs
• Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
• May operate lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• May repair and lubricate machines and equipment
• May perform installation and maintenance work as part of team of skilled trades workers
