Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Tampa, FL, providing routine technical support for networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.

Responsibilities include managing system functionality across multiple OS, performing audits, and supporting long-term IT strategies while training end users. A TS/SCI clearance and DOD 8570 certification are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Systems Administration experience with Active Directory, RSA SecurID, and SolarWinds Orion.
• Current TS/SCI clearance required or active.
• DOD 8570 certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE required.
• HS Degree with Technical Training or IT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides Systems Administration and manages the functionality and efficiency of computers across one or more operating systems.
• Performs basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with standards and configuration guidelines.
• Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies; trains end users on hardware and software usage.
• Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Provides Systems Administration and manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
• Conducts basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies and train end users on the proper use of hardware and software.
• Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Technical Training, IT certification(s) and HS Degree required.
• Required Technical Experience: 2+ years of related Systems Administration experience with Active Directory, RSA SecurID, and SolarWinds Orion.
• Candidate will troubleshoot system hardware and software issues and provide routine technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
• Required Certification: Must have a current DOD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security + CE.
• Required Security Clearance Level: current/active TS/SCI clearance.
• Work Location: customer site in Tampa, FL.
