Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking a desk‑top support specialist to provide hardware, software and application support across PCs, Macs, iOS/Android devices and Cisco VOIP phones. The role includes responding to help desk requests, deploying hardware, maintaining printers and inventories, and basic network/AD support on site in Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of desktop support experience, a related degree (Bachelor’s preferred; Associate’s consider), and strong communication,

• 2-3 years’ experience in desktop support preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond to help desk calls from internal and field employees, providing problem resolution through phone, email, remote access and in-person
• Prepare and deploy hardware, desktops, laptops, and mobile platforms
• Maintain all printers, including deployment, troubleshooting, and supply management
• Maintain and track all IT hardware inventory and software licensing
• Provide basic network hardware installation and configuration assistance
• Provide basic Active Directory management and server application support
• Participate in on-call afterhours support rotation on a scheduled basis
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
• Offer hardware, software and application support across all platforms, including PCs, Macs, iOS/Android devices, and Cisco VOIP phones
• Respond to help desk calls from internal and field employees, providing problem resolution through phone, email, remote access and in-person
• Prepare and deploy hardware, desktops, laptops, and mobile platforms
• Maintain all printers, including deployment, troubleshooting, and supply management
• Maintain and track all IT hardware inventory and software licensing
• Manage and coordinate support for Mobile Devices and Service Plans
• Provide basic network hardware installation and configuration assistance
• Provide basic Active Directory management and server application support
• Participate in on-call afterhours support rotation on a scheduled basis
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY

Education And Experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.
