Job summary

Nabholz Construction Services is seeking an IT Help Desk/End User Support specialist to provide front-line support for hardware, software, and cloud services across offices and job sites. You will troubleshoot, document resolutions, and guide end users with a service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Info Systems or related field preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in IT field.
• Familiar with Windows, Microsoft 365, iOS, and related IT concepts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat, or email.
• Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, email, OS, and cloud services.
• Research questions using available information resources.
• Advise user on appropriate action.
• Follow standard help desk procedures and document resolutions.
• Follow up with customers to ensure complete resolution of issues.
• Identify and upscale urgent situations.
• Regional travel to office or job sites may be required.

Summary:

Provides support to all end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves end user technical problems. Requires wide degree of creativity and latitude. Conforms to corporate policies and procedures, upholds ethical standards, and exemplifies corporate values, with an emphasis on integrity and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat, or email.
• Provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, operating systems, and cloud services.
• Research questions using available information resources.
• Advise user on appropriate action.
• Follow standard help desk procedures.
• Follow up with customers and users to ensure complete resolution of issues.
• Redirect problems to correct resource.
• Identify and upscale situations requiring urgent attention.
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
• Provide technical assistance to computer users.
• Regional travel to office or job sites may be required.
• This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
• All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements :

• Associate degree – Info systems or Business or related field preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in IT field.
• Familiar with a wide variety of Info Systems concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of IT systems, e.g., Windows, Microsoft 365, iOS, etc.
• Basic understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP for end-user needs.
• Understanding of routers, switches, wireless, and security technologies
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal/written communication/presentation and negotiation skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Positive and must work well in a team.
• Provide consistent, high-quality support to all customers.
• Helpful and proactive manner with a service orientation.

Physical Demands :

• Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, ladders, and lift occasionally.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Work environment :

• Office, job site, job trailer, or field office.
