CAMS - Badger Midstream Energy is seeking a Plant Operator to perform shift work across helium plant operations, refrigeration/liquefaction, and compressor activities. The role requires self-motivation and effective team collaboration in a regulated facility environment.

The position emphasizes startup/shutdown of cryogenic equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work outside regular hours with potential overtime. A valid license is required with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • 3 years Helium Plant processing and liquefaction preferred.
  • 5 years cryogenic Natural Gas plant operations and maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a monthly production schedule for the helium plant.
  • Communicate schedule with clients.
  • Start up and shut down helium plant and compression equipment after maintenance or shutdowns.
  • Troubleshoot operations in natural gas process equipment and helium plant.
  • Lead on-the-job training for lower-level employees.
  • Adhere to safety standards and use PPE.

Job description

CAMS - Badger Midstream Energy is hiring a Plant Operator for Shift activities that include cross-functional work in helium plant operations, reciprocating compressors operations, natural gas dehydration, while working in a team environment that operates the helium plant and compressor station facilities in accordance with company policies/procedures and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.

The successful incumbent must be self-motivated, and a self-starter who is comfortable working alone as well as in a group environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to work other than regular hours and callouts and may be subject to shift assignments.
  • Must work effectively in a team environment.
  • Needs to be a self-starter and have good communication skills.
  • Develop a monthly production schedule for the helium plant.
  • Communicate schedule with clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to start up entire compression and natural gas process equipment after a shutdown.
  • Demonstrate ability to shut down helium plant properly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to restart the helium plant from cold shutdown.
  • Demonstrate ability to reset breakers or replace electrical equipment fuses to establish plant operation.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot operations or production issues in the natural gas process equipment and the helium plant.
  • Lead in all on-the-job (OJT) training areas for lower-level employees.
  • Adheres to housekeeping and safety standards, including the required use of personal protective equipment.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Preferred 3 years Helium Plant processing and liquefaction.
  • 5 years cryogenic Natural Gas plant operations and maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining cryogenic plants and facilities.
  • Fundamental knowledge of instrumentation and controls associated with cryogenic plant operations.
  • Candidate must have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request, as well as maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and is subject to random DOT drug testing.
  • The employee will be required to live within 50 miles of the Keyes, OK area.
  • Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, high-pressure gas, cryogenic gases and liquids and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Ability to climb overhead structures, work beneath machines, and perform analysis and repair work in close quarters.
  • A high degree of attention is required to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Ability to work all shifts, flexible hours, and mandatory overtime.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

$28 - $31 an hour

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business. Candidates should be comfortable operating a vehicle as part of their job responsibilities and must meet any applicable company and insurance requirements.
