Job summary

Helinet in Los Angeles is seeking a qualified aircraft maintenance technician (A&P) to perform inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on diverse aircraft fleets, including light to mid-size helicopters. You will apply regulatory knowledge, maintain airworthiness, and document work in accordance with FAA and company standards.

This full-time on-site role requires strong teamwork, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to support on-call schedules, with lifting up to 70 lbs and

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Willing to support on-call schedule; weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections and repairs per regulations and company policy.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems using technical knowledge to identify malfunctions.
• Maintain aircraft to airworthy or sale condition and document activities per FAA standards.
• Keep shop premises clean and organized and maintain tools in serviceable condition.
• Assist with annual and hourly inspections and component removals/replacements as needed.
• Communicate clearly with maintenance and operations staff to explain work performed.

Job Highlights:

• Opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft including Airbus AS-350, Leonardo A109, and Sikorsky S-76.
  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections and repairss in accordance with regulations, manufacturer instructions and company policies.
• Applies technical knowledge of aircraft systems to effectively troubleshoot and determine system and equipment malfunctions.
• Applies expertise in maintaining and restoring aircraft to airworthy or sale condition.
• Maintains records in compliance with FAA and Company standards.
• Maintains premises of the shop facility in a clean and organized manner.
• Perform dynamic balancing of aircraft components and systems.
• Keeps equipment and tools in serviceable and working condition.
• Under supervision, removes, reinstalls, and replaces major components such as rotor and tail rotor blades, main transmissions, tail rotor gear boxes, and main rotor and tail rotor hub assemblies, engines and subassemblies.
• Helps complete annual and hourly inspections.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all maintenance and operations personnel to explain job and shop

Job Requirements:

• Current, valid A&P License with verifiable experience
  
• High School Diploma
• High attention to detail and thrives in a team environment
• Willing to support on-call schedule, which in some cases, may include weekends
• Must be able to lift 70lbs. and work in a variety of elements
• Legally eligible to work in the US and pass FAA regulated drug/alcohol tests as well as a background check
• Must have basic hand tools required for aircraft maintenance
