Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a Montrose Helicopter Crewmember (FFT2) for the Division of Fire Prevention and Control. This full-time, in-person role supports wildland fire suppression, incident response, and related firefighting operations from the Montrose helicopter module.

As a qualified FFT2, you will participate in mitigation projects, training, and incident management while traveling across Colorado and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

• NWCG qualification to FFT2 standard is required.
• Experience with wildland fire modules and NWCG protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide wildland fire suppression and incident response.
• Assist in mitigation, fuels, and prescribed fire functions.
• Support fire-preparedness and incident documentation as qualified.
