Job summary

V2X in Maryland seeks an Avionics Technician to install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics systems on UH-1Y/Z, CH-53E, and related helicopters. The role operates at Patuxent River, MD with minimal supervision in a military aviation setting.

You will use complex test gear, document actions in CAMS, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards while performing calibration and component replacements as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft avionics for the helicopter.
• 2–4 years recent experience in repair of aircraft avionics, com/nav, or instrument systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational and bench checks, troubleshoot, and isolate malfunctions in complex avionics equipment.
• Use advanced test equipment to perform checks and verify system functionality.
• Repair or replace components based on test results following manuals and drawings.
• Maintain CAMS documentation and follow safety and housekeeping requirements.
