Job summary

Doctors HealthCare Plans, Inc. is seeking a field-based HEDIS Coordinator to drive medical record retrieval, chart reviews, and provider engagement across South Florida.

You will lead quality improvement efforts, present performance data to physicians, and collaborate with office staff to close care gaps and improve documentation for CMS Star Ratings. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to travel locally across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, medical records, quality improvement, provider relations, healthcare operations, or a related healthcare environment.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Experience conducting provider outreach and professional business communications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead meetings and present information to provider offices and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze performance reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical record retrieval and management across provider offices.
• Review charts to support HEDIS measures and quality initiatives.
• Lead provider meetings and present performance data and action plans.
• Engage providers and staff to close gaps in care and improve documentation.
• Monitor and report on progress toward quality goals and Star Ratings.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and CMS requirements.
