Job summary

Schonfeld in New York offers a 10-week summer internship in the Middle Office within Operations. You will work with senior management and across peer groups on high-profile projects related to trade lifecycle and post-trade processing.

You will receive formal training, mentorship, and exposure to Core Operations, Asset Servicing, Technology, Market Data, Accounting, Portfolio Finance, and Prime/Executing Brokers throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Interest in gaining Operations experience at a hedge fund
• Basic understanding of capital markets, investing, and hedge fund strategies
• A keen analytical eye with high regard for attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Python and SQL is a plus

Responsibilities

• Trade Lifecycle Management – Support the post-trade processing of all trading activity to ensure trades hydrate all internal systems and get delivered to external partners.
• Trade Settlement Management – Work with prime brokers and executing brokers to resolve trade settlement breaks, ensuring efficient operational procedures and reducing risk for the firm.
• Data Integrity Improvements – Create and improve databases in an organized and centralized location
