Job summary

BMO Capital Markets, a leading global financial services provider, seeks an Analyst to join Global Markets Corporate Banking in New York. You will support Account Management for hedge fund clients, preparing credit reviews, due diligence, and credit analysis across financing products, including repo and SBL.

You will collaborate with Legal and multiple internal teams to manage risk and grow the Hedge Funds portfolio.

Qualifications

• Undergrad/MBA in finance, economics, or accounting with strong academics.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship in credit/markets/hedge funds is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in finance and credit.
• Proficiency with MS Excel; Bloomberg experience is an asset; AI tools like Copilot are used in workflow.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze financial information for Hedge Funds and asset managers.
• Prepare written credit applications for new and existing transactions for Credit review.
• Assess financial soundness of counterparties incl. hedge fund strategy, leverage and liquidity.
• Coordinate monthly credit activities and annual/interim reviews.
