Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Hedge Fund Credit Risk Analyst within the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Credit Risk Management Team. You will assess counterparty credit exposure and manage risk across hedge funds and alternative managers, leveraging quantitative and qualitative analysis.

You will develop understanding of trading agreements, credit terms, and related covenants while collaborating with Sales & Trading, Coverage, Market Risk, and Legal to mitigate risk and support

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in finance or related field.
• Strong interest in markets and accounting.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assess creditworthiness of clients to determine appropriate credit ratings.
• Perform client due diligence incl. written credit approval memos and annual reviews.
• Manage client portfolio including limit sizing and maintenance; review financial reporting.
• Analyze exposure metrics including VaR and stress scenarios; propose mitigants.
• Understand trading agreements and associated credit terms (e.g. ISDA).
• Partner with Sales & Trading, Coverage, Market Risk, Transition Management, and Legal.
• Monitor market developments and industry trends and assess impact on portfolios.
• Meet development and training requirements as defined.
