Job summary

SAR Academy, a Modern Orthodox co-educational day school in Riverdale, NY, is seeking Hebrew Immersion Teachers for Nursery–Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year in the Early Learning Center. You will collaborate with a Co-Teacher to develop curriculum and create interactive lessons centered on chagim and Jewish values.

Qualifications

• Hebrew proficiency; native speaker preferred.
• Familiarity with Israeli preschool culture and Hebrew songs.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork.
• Ability to build connections with young children.
• Creative, flexible, and solution-oriented approach to teaching.
• Understanding of social, emotional, and cognitive development in early childhood.
• Experience differentiating instruction in diverse classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a Co-Teacher to develop and implement curriculum, lessons, and activities.
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment with differentiated instruction.
• Create interactive lessons centered on chagim and Jewish values.
• Effectively manage the classroom to support student learning and development.
• Maintain open communication with students, parents and administrators regarding students’ progress.
• Participate in school duties outside the classroom, including arrival, lunch, and dismissal duty.
