Base pay range

$7.00/hr - $9.00/hr

Smashin Crab boasts an energetic and vibrant atmosphere with delicious seafood to match. We’re looking for high energy people that are fun to be around, great team players, seafood lovers, calm under pressure, and have strong work ethics to join our Krewe.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Full knowledge of the food and drink menu items and origin of live seafood
  • Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list if necessary
  • Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions
  • Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas
  • Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the correct number of guests
  • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, and answering questions
  • Alerting servers when tables need attention
  • Cleaning tables and removing dishes after the party leaves
  • Carrying loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned
  • Ensuring availability of clean dishes, flatware, glasses, straws, napkins, and other dining materials
  • Ensuring all food orders leaving the kitchen are accurate and contain the proper garnish
  • Delivering food orders to guests in a timely manner
  • Performing running side work, opening duties, and closing duties as required
  • Obtaining and maintaining:
    • Food Handler Certification
    • TABC Certification
