Interstate Towing in Massachusetts is actively seeking skilled Heavy-Duty Wrecker and Recovery Operators. This full-time/part-time role involves taking calls, arriving at scenes quickly and safely, and performing complex recoveries on tractors, trailers, and commercial vehicles.

You will inspect trucks, maintain equipment, and ensure proper documentation. Clean driving records and the ability to handle challenging recovery scenarios are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and proven experience operating heavy-duty wreckers.
• Real recovery skill — winching, rigging, rollovers, and the judgment to handle a scene that doesn't go by the book.
• Comfortable with electronic equipment and dispatch/telematics software.
• Clean driving record — no recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability to handle traffic, weather, and whatever the call throws at you.
• Reliability. When the call comes in, we need you ready.

Responsibilities

• Take calls from dispatch and reach the scene fast and safely.
• Operate heavy-duty wreckers to recover tractors, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Transport vehicles to the customer destinations or impound yard.
• Inspect your truck, perform preventative maintenance, and report defects, accidents, or violations.

• Operate safely and by the book — size, weight, route, and hours-of-service rules, plus company policy.
• Represent Interstate professionally on every call.
