Central Specialties, Inc. in Alexandria, MN is seeking a Heavy Truck Mechanic to repair and maintain a diverse fleet. The role requires year-round work at our Alexandria shop and strong collaboration with teammates.

Applicants should have 2-year AAS in Diesel Technology or equivalent experience, a valid MN DL, and a solid safety mindset. We offer benefits and opportunities for growth within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• 2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology or 4+ years of training/experience with heavy trucks.
• Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites.
• Valid Driver's License Class D.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes operation of systems and components of heavy trucks to determine performance using engineering specifications and test equipment.
• Inspects mechanical and electrical systems, diagnoses and repairs systems.
• Disassembles systems, examines parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts, adjusts settings and reassembles according to specifications.
• Operates electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment and cranes and hoists.
• Welds and fabricates parts as needed.
• Performs other tasks as needed.
• Complies with Company Safety Program.

As a Heavy Truck Mechanic the purpose of this position is to repair and maintain a variety of trucks within our fleet. Candidates will work year-round. Work will be performed in our Alexandria, MN shop.
