Job summary

Central Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to repair and maintain heavy construction equipment and diesel trucks. Work is primarily from the shop with occasional service calls.

Ideal candidates will work year-round and may travel across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Iowa as needed. Requirements include a 2-year AAS in Diesel Technology or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license (Class A CDL preferred), and the ability to work with others in a

Qualifications

• 2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent experience.
• Regular attendance and overtime at job sites.
• Valid driver's license, preferably Class A CDL.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Physical strength to perform duties.
• Opportunity to travel in MN, ND, SD.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes operation of heavy equipment and diesel trucks to determine performance.
• Inspects mechanical and electrical systems; diagnoses and repairs components.
• Disassembles systems and checks parts for defects and wear.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and adjusts settings as required.
• Operates testing equipment, gauges, and hand tools; welds as needed.
• Welds and fabricates parts as required; adheres to safety standards.
• Performs other tasks as needed.
