Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Mechanic/Welder to diagnose, repair, install and maintain heavy manufacturing equipment at our Kentucky facility.

The role covers fabricating and maintaining steel fabrication equipment including saws, punches, presses, welding apparatus, robot weld lines, and coating systems. The ideal candidate has proven experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, cranes/hoists and PLC troubleshooting, and is able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with maintaining cranes and hoists.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot maintenance and electrical issues; perform preventive maintenance (PM).
• Diagnose, repair, install and maintain heavy manufacturing equipment including weld lines.
• Operate and read 480 VAC motor controls and Ac Drive/DC Motor systems; weld as needed.
