Job summary

Dixon Valve Company in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Heavy Assembler to join our Dixon Specialty Products division. You will build and test industrial equipment, including insulating, armoring, and testing hoses, from small to large bore sizes.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to read blueprints. Welding experience is a plus. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $18 to $20 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Insulate, armor and test small and large bore hoses.
• Assemble heavy machinery components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly challenges.
• Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or concerns to supervisors.
• Prepare and package parts for shipment according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
