Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Highway & Civil Safety Compliance Manager to lead safety across multiple regional civil sites.

You will monitor sites for OSHA compliance, conduct inspections, and guide incident investigations while developing training and toolbox talks for crews. The role requires 5+ years in construction safety with heavy civil experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to travel to regional job sites as needs shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction safety, heavy civil experience preferred.
• Strong command of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, CHST or similar credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor jobsites to verify alignment with OSHA and company standards.
• Lead thorough inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Design and deliver toolbox talks and safety training for crews.
• Build and update site-specific safety plans (SSSPs) with project teams.
• Maintain complete and accurate safety documentation, logs, and reports.
• Collaborate with operations to identify exposures and implement mitigations.
