General Summary

Erects, repairs, demolishes, grades, and maintains structures by performing the following:

Essential Duties

• Measuring distances from grade stakes, driving stakes, and stretching tight lines
• Bolting, nailing, aligning, and blocking up under forms
• Loading, transporting, unloading, and furnishing craft workers with materials
• Leveling earth to fine grade specifications using pick or shovel
• Mixing concrete and dismantling forms
• Positioning, joining, aligning, and sealing pipe sections
• Erecting and dismantling shoring and braces
• Carrying and holding building materials, tools, and supplies
• Safety: Work safely, promote our safety culture, protect coworkers and the public, and report safety concerns to any supervisor at any time.
• Tools and/or Equipment: Use of picks, shovels, hand tools, hammers, and other related equipment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent related experience/training.
• Basic knowledge of math, geometry, volume, and weights.
• Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to read safety rules and instructions.
• Ability to recognize and use proper hand signals for cranes and machinery.
• Adherence to safety regulations and ability to work cooperatively with others.

Physical Demands

This role involves physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Extended standing, use of protective equipment, and lifting up to 100 pounds are required.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud environments.
