Job description

Heavy Truck Driver Overview

• Haul over-sized heavy equipment and product to and from project sites
• All hauls will be local to the Lubbock area

Heavy Truck Driver Duties

• Drive large heavy equipment up on top of flatbed trailer
• Chain-down and secure equipment to trailer
• Transport rock, sand, gravel, and hot mix asphalt
• Inspect machinery routinely for maintenance and repairs
• Notify management of any equipment or safety issues
• Operate truck safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations

Heavy Truck Driver Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years hauling heavy equipment (REQUIRED)
• Must know how to chain-down and secure equipment to flatbed trailer (REQUIRED)
• Valid CDL (required)
• HAZ-MAT (preferred)
• Physically fit and ability to lift 50 lbs
• Basic mechanical skills
• Conscientious and safety-oriented attitude
• Excellent interpersonal skills including communicating and listening
