Job Title: Driver Assistant

Summary: Work with an established route driver to facilitate the delivery of beverage products by unloading, stocking, rotating, and merchandising products, as well as managing existing inventory at retail locations.

Job Duties

• Assist in the delivery, rotation, and merchandising of all company products
• Maintain positive customer satisfaction with retailers
• Follow a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Safely load and unload equipment and products
• Follow policies on product freshness and rotation
• Read and follow delivery instructions from drivers, sales reps, and managers
• Handle products according to retailer policies
• Adhere to laws regarding invoicing, signatures, and payments
• Repair and repackage damaged goods
• Match productivity levels in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively and work well with team members
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely
• Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Use of a 2-wheel dolly, hand truck, or wheeler
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Effective time management
• Customer service skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Class "A" CDL
• Experience in beverage or DSD delivery
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Physical Requirements

• Move products weighing up to 165 lbs
• Hang merchandise as needed
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs overhead
• Push/pull on a two-wheeler up to 340 lbs
• Stand or walk continuously
• Bend and squat occasionally
• Carry and reach repetitively
