Job summary

OIA Global is seeking a Heavy Haul Manager to lead and expand our heavy haul and specialized transportation offerings across North America, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

You will combine operational expertise, commercial leadership, and industry relationships to develop transportation solutions for oversized, overweight, and high-value cargo movements. This role requires strategic thinking and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy haul, over-dimensional, overweight, and project cargo transportation.
• Strong knowledge of North American permitting, route analysis and risk management.
• Experience in U.S. domestic transportation with cross-border work in Canada/Mexico advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand OIA's Heavy Haul business across North America.
• Manage relationships with specialized carriers and service providers.
• Lead RFQs, tenders and transportation solution design.
• Provide oversight on routing, permitting, engineering and execution planning.
• Support sales with innovative project logistics solutions.

OIA Global is looking for a Heavy Haul Manager to lead and expand our Heavy Haul and Specialized Transportation offering across North America. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing global organization and take ownership of a critical service line supporting major industrial, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and project cargo customers.

In this role, you'll combine operational expertise, commercial leadership, and industry relationships to develop transportation solutions for oversized, overweight, and high-value cargo movements throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll be the subject matter expert for heavy haul and ground project logistics, leading solutions from planning through execution. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and growing OIA's Heavy Haul business across North America
• Managing strategic relationships with specialized carriers and service providers
• Leading complex RFQs, tenders, and transportation solution design
• Providing technical oversight on routing, permitting, engineering, and execution planning
• Supporting sales teams with innovative project logistics solutions
• Driving operational excellence, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction
• Coaching and developing project logistics professionals across the region

What we are Looking For

You are a proven leader who thrives in complex transportation environments and enjoys solving challenges others can't.

• Extensive experience in heavy haul, over-dimensional, overweight, and project cargo transportation
• Strong knowledge of North American permitting, route analysis, compliance, and risk management
• Experience with U.S. domestic transportation; cross-border experience with Canada and/or Mexico is highly desirable
• Strong commercial and project management skills
• Experience leading teams and managing high-value customer relationships
• Ability to travel as required to support project planning and execution
