Zusammenfassung

Cardinal Civil Contracting, part of Cardinal Infrastructure Group, seeks a Lowboy Driver to move heavy construction gear between yard, jobsites, and dealers across NC and the Carolinas. You will load, secure, and transport excavators, dozers, loaders, and rollers, maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

You must have a Class A CDL, 2+ years of experience, and be able to verify securement rules and hours. The role is on-site with standard OT expectations and advancement opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience, including at least 1 year hauling heavy construction equipment on a lowboy or similar trailer.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA cargo securement rules and Hours of Service.
• Proficient with ELD and GPS/routing tools; able to manage dispatch digitally.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check; minimum age 21.
• High school diploma or GED; CDL Class A with no restrictions; valid DOT medical card.

Aufgaben

• Operate a Class A tractor and lowboy trailer to haul heavy equipment on a daily schedule.
• Plan routes, obtain permits, and coordinate escorts for oversize loads.
• Load, secure, and inspect loads, rechecking en route for security and safety.
• Maintain logs, permits, and move tickets; ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT rules.
• Support site teams and adapt moves to field priorities and safety requirements.
