Job summary

A High School Diploma and at least 3 years' experience, plus familiarity with highway systems, GPS, and MS Office, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience.
• Must have general knowledge of highway systems in the regions worked.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Experienced with GPS technology and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate heavy-haul logistics to ensure timely equipment delivery.
• Oversee arrival of equipment to job sites and facilities.
• Manage driver schedules and track trucks to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Maintain communications with managers regarding status and customer satisfaction.
• Assign drivers to trucks and provide directions for pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain permits for load weights and bridge crossings; coordinate with state law enforcement as needed.
• Ensure truck/trailer combinations have proper safety gear and logbooks.
• Maintain travel logs and a control board.
• Answer phones professionally.
• Work with Human Resources to maintain FMCA records for the drivers.
• Track daily truck activities and generate operational reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
