Job summary

Branscome, a Virginia-based contractor, seeks a Dump Truck Driver to haul materials to and from job sites and plants. You will operate dump trucks, follow safety policies, and communicate with foremen on sites. CDL with air brake endorsement is required, and basic math skills are needed for daily tasks.

Will work in varied weather, with overtime as needed, and contribute to Branscome’s infrastructure projects across Virginia. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Vision must be acceptable for day and night driving.
• Ability to do basic math.

Responsibilities

• Drive Dump Trucks for transporting construction materials to and from jobs and plant locations.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Safety maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Pull or push levers to dump materials.
• Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to aid in material placement.
• May perform other duties such as lifting & moving transported material.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies per CDL pre-trip guidelines.
• Maintain daily log.
• Understand verbal and written directions, GPS, and communicate with management on job sites.
