Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Batesville, MS is seeking a Heavy Haul Driver for the Yancey Engineered Solutions division.

You will cover all loads, inbound and outbound, and transport equipment to vendors, tanks, enclosures, and paint shops while maintaining a safe driving record. Ideal candidates have a Class A CDL, 3+ years of heavy equipment trucking experience, and fluency in English. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service in a team-driven environment within our national service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL license, Class A preferred.
• 3+ years experience driving heavy equipment transportation or heavy-duty trucking.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to clear driver screenings including Road Test, Background check, MVR (<10 points), DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Not disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR 383.5/383.51.
• Experience with electronic log books and delivery software on tablets.
• Customer-service oriented with a rock star attitude.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Heavy Haul Driver for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will cover all loads, inbound and outbound.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload equipment onto assigned vehicles or trailers.
• Transport to and from contracted vendors for tanks and enclosures.
• Transport to and from tank paint shop.
• Transport to and from CAT factor work in progress Gensets.
• Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating and loading equipment including the use of proper PPE at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner
• Complete a Driver’s Safety Course.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as a delivery driver. A safety-first attitude and strong work ethic are must have attributes.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Valid, active CDL license. Class A preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation, general professional freight carrier, or heavy-duty trucking (e.g., wrecker, mobile crane).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
  • Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
  • Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
  • DOT Physical
  • Drug Screen
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 383.5 or 49 CFR § 383.51.
• Ability to manage electronic log books and delivery software via electronic tablets.
• Customer service oriented with the willingness to go above and beyond expectations with a rock star attitude.
