Job summary

Omega Morgan is seeking experienced heavy haul drivers and regular CDL drivers for our Portland, Salt Lake City, and Houston locations. The ideal candidate will have rigging experience with a Class A CDL and will operate multi-axle heavy spec trucks and trailers as directed by dispatch, loading and unloading freight, reading permits, and following over-dimensional laws.

The role requires driving up to ten hours per day, maintaining equipment, performing pre/post-trip checks, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 3 years of CDL driving experience required, heavy haul preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• LCV card, doubles, and triples endorsement preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations on oversize transport.
• Ability to read permits and paperwork.
• Able to tie equipment down per DOT requirements.
• Available to work 40 hours a week with overtime and travel when necessary.
• Prompt and reliable with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in machinery moving, rigging, and other industrial work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize loads and trips to maximize time and resources.
• Interact with customers and dispatch to ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch.
• Manage risk and liability from the field.
• Drive up to ten hours a day in compliance with laws.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; report issues.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip checks.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and binders as required.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to DOT hours of service and safety policies.
• Document mileage and service hours in daily logs.
• Mentor other drivers and work collaboratively in a team.
