Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises in Perris, CA is seeking a Heavy Forklift Operator who supports the Salvage unit by inspecting, photographing, and relocating vehicles using a heavy forklift to designated staging areas.

You will record vehicle locations in inventory systems, assist with loading and unloading disabled vehicles, and maintain a safe salvage lot. Routine forklift inspections ensure safety and compliance, and you will help prepare vehicles for weekly auctions.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years driving 15k-20k lb forklifts required.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, photograph, and relocate salvage vehicles with the heavy forklift.
• Record vehicle condition, mileage, and attributes in handheld devices.
• Record and track vehicle locations in inventory systems for lot accuracy.
• Maintain and organize the salvage lot and identify safety issues.
• Perform routine forklift checks to ensure safety compliance.
• Prepare vehicles for weekly salvage auctions.
• Assist salvage buyers and haulers loading/unloading disabled vehicles.
• Consult with supervisor on security or salvage lot issues.
