Job summary

JM Equipment LLC in New Castle, PA, is seeking an experienced fitter to assemble large industrial fabrications, machinery frames, equipment bases, and heavy steel weldments on-site. This role requires reading blueprints, laying out components, and efficiently fitting complex assemblies.

We want a fitter, not just a welder; finish welding is handled by others. Pay is $25–$35 per hour based on experience, with full-time, on-site work, two weeks paid vacation, paid holidays, and overtime

Qualifications

• Must read fabrication blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience laying out and fitting large steel weldments.
• Ability to work independently and plan efficient assembly sequences.
• Knowledge of dimensional tolerances, squareness, alignment, and distortion control.
• MIG/FCAW tack welding experience.
• Experience with overhead cranes and heavy material handling preferred.
• Must demonstrate blueprint-reading and layout ability during the interview process.
