Job summary

Foley Equipment in Olathe, Kansas seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, service and repair CAT earthmoving equipment both in the shop and on-site at customer locations.

You will perform repairs, maintenance, testing, and read service literature, with welding (Mig/Stick) as part of duties; travel for training and to support other locations is required. Foley offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics.
• Ability to read specifications, service and parts literature.
• Welding background (Mig and Stick).

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
• Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers
• Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations
