Job summary

Intrepid Potash in New Mexico is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet of heavy equipment used by the Dirt Crew. You will ensure reliable operation of equipment and work with operators to address issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 2+ years experience in heavy equipment maintenance and CAT / SIS / Cummins preferred.
• Must be able to provide own metric tools.
• Must be available to work a 24/7 call-out schedule.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, dozers, and loaders.
• Monitor reliability of conveyors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Operate plant equipment such as skid steers and bulldozers.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Adjust process equipment and manage start/stop operations.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain equipment records and files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
