Job summary

Bulk Equipment Corp. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join a safety‑driven team in Rossville, TN.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair gantry cranes, forklifts, reach stackers, container handlers, and spotter trucks at Intermodal terminals. The role requires 5 years of heavy equipment experience, strong hydraulic and electrical knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors, at heights, and on call.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Extensive knowledge on hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
• Understanding of various OEM platforms.
• Understanding preventative maintenance.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent record-keeping capabilities.
• Collaborative spirit.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. throughout a normal shift.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety Department policies and procedure to maintain a safe working environment.
• Run successful preventative maintenance program efficiently at assigned Terminal(s).
• Responsible for repairing and servicing customer and company owned equipment.
• Perform scheduled inspections for planned maintenance.
• Conduct evaluations on malfunctioning equipment.
• Maintain logs of equipment condition and work performed.
• Responsible for monitoring company owned assets, equipment, and tools.
• Complete daily site activities at Intermodal terminals as assigned.
• Complete work orders, timecards, and customer maintenance records
• Complete uniform maintenance record keeping protocol at terminal.
• Create parts lists for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Willing to work with the Purchasing Department / Parts Department
• Willing to work in the weather elements (hot and cold environments)
• Willing to work at heights (80 feet) in man basket / aerial lift.
• Willing to work overtime as assigned.
• Participate in Call Out Rotation (On call to response to customer needs)
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic machine systems
• Other duties as assigned
