Job summary

Bulk Equipment Corp. in Texas seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair customer-owned heavy equipment on-site. You will prepare work orders, order parts, and maintain accurate timecards using the company system.

The role requires strong hydraulics, powertrain, and diesel knowledge and a valid driver’s license, with clear communication to the Field Service Manager. The position emphasizes hands-on maintenance, safety, and professional representation of the company with

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, and diesel systems.
  • Understanding of electronic/electrical systems in equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Familiarity with OEM platforms and field service processes.
  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be the company's number one support personnel for the customer.
  • Respond to service calls and diagnose issues with customer-owned equipment.
  • Communicate findings to the Field Service Manager and execute maintenance/repair work.
  • Use maintenance management software to create work orders, log hours, and order parts.
  • Create parts lists and coordinate with the Field Service Manager.
  • Maintain certifications and licenses required to operate service vehicles and perform duties.
  • Keep assets such as vehicles and diagnostic tools in working order.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Be the company's number one support personnel for the customer
  • Respond to service calls
  • Diagnose issues with customer-owned equipment and communicate to the Field Service Manager
  • Execute maintenance and repair work
  • Utilize company's maintenance management software to prepare required work orders, fill out timecards, order parts, etc.
  • Create parts list when needed and communicate to the Field Service Manager
  • Maintain any certifications required for specific or specialized work, as well as any licenses required to operate service vehicles
  • Keep company assets such as vehicle, laptop, diagnostic & specialty tooling, etc. in working order
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment and a strong working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems, diesel, etc.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Understanding of various OEM platforms
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Awareness of being a representation of the company at all times, and an eager brand advocate
  • Detail oriented with excellent record-keeping capabilities
  • Collaborative spirit
  • Good decision making, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking skills
Physical Demands
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
