You will ensure peak equipment performance and safety for customers, with an emphasis on strong service and timely maintenance.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Experience on large agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with GPS/precision farming tech and implement connectivity.
  • Strong independent work ethic but also able to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills; a builder of relationships.
  • Clear and concise communications.
  • Ability to independently lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Use diagnostic equipment and observe equipment in operation to find faults in all systems.
  • Read electrical schematics, hydraulic charts and manuals to guide repairs.
  • Follow checklists to ensure critical parts are examined.

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician specialized in diagnosing and repairing complex hydraulic and electrical systems for agricultural machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers farm equipment will operate at peak efficiency in a professional and safe manner. An agricultural background is strongly preferred.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Proven experience working specifically on large agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with farm operations, GPS/ precision farming technology, and implement connectivity is a major plus.
  • Strong independent work ethic but also able to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills; a builder of relationships.
  • Clear and concise communications.
  • A strong sense of urgency, focusing on time.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to independently lift between 50-75 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Use diagnostic equipment as well as observe and listen to equipment in operation to find faults and failures in all systems on the machinery we sell including, but not limited to hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Read job orders, electrical schematics, hydraulic flow charts and equipment manuals to guide repairs.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
  • Test-drive equipment to ensure that they run smoothly.
  • Tag all warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
  • Adhere to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Manager and/ or management.
