Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Odessa, TX seeks a Technical Trainer to deliver hands-on and classroom training for service technicians and customers on heavy equipment, including Wirtgen lines. You will develop materials, provide manufacturer training, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Travel 70%+ to branches and events, delivering MSHA and OSHA training while upholding the company’s One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal values.

Qualifications

• 5 years of technical/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proficient knowledge of engines, powertrains, hydraulics, electrical and braking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to frequently travel to branches, schools and events.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values.
• Acts as product expert to provide training to technicians and customers on equipment repair and maintenance.
• Provides product and manufacturer training.
• Develops and delivers hands-on training in a classroom setting.
• Develops training materials and practices for adult learning.
• Delivers aerial platform safety training for rental and service personnel.
• Provides MSHA safety training for staff and reps.
• Supplies OSHA safety training for customers as requested.
• Travels to branches to provide training (70%+).
• Performs other duties and maintains on-site attendance.
